I thought. I thought what if Mcdonalds had stayed in America.

I thought what if graveyards weren’t so big or dark or soft.

I thought what if car engines really did purr.

I thought what if you got bored of me.

I thought.

I thought.

I thought of rows of houses we could live in, just in case you didn’t.

I thought of a town. Up town, downtown, parks, playgrounds.

I thought “what if our children don’t learn how to swim”.

I thought “It doesn’t matter. I couldn’t either.”

I thought. “I’m already drowning.”
